No, Tuesday is NEW MUSIC DAY!, and each Tuesday, I share this excitement with people like you, and give you my hard hitting, honest OPINION the music releases of the date. Ready? Czech this out.
>Jim Jones "Harlem's American Gangster" -This album is horrible. Please don't buy this album, and perpetuate the notion that Jim Jones is... how can I put this.... talented? The fact that my friend's 2 year-old child can do the "Ballllllin...."-thing, just goes to show you that this isn't "gangster" at all. It's a studio release of casually listen-able rap music. NOT hip-hop. This is rap music. And it needs to stop. Also, as a side note, Jim Jones has been photoshopped and airbrushed in more of his pictures than a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.

>The Raveonettes "Lust Lust Lust" -The Raveonettes kind of rock. Kinda. The verdict is still out on these guys. This album is cool and minimal, and it looks cool on your iPod, and gives you indie cred in certain circles, but at the end of the day, there's only about 4 really decent tracks on the album. After that, everything sort of sounds the same. However, That's 4 more good songs than the Jim Jones album. Go for it. Buy this one.

>Mike Doughty " Golden Delicious" -My pick of the week. Doughty was the lead for the 90's band Soul Coughing, (which will always have a special place in my heart) A great show, if you get a chance to see it live too. This is his follow up to his "Houghty Melodic", which was also a cool little disc too. Dammit. Doughty's new album is cool. Doughty isn't for everyone though. Just the cool people. Cop this disc.
