Kara DioGuardi wants Paula Abdul on Idol

The rumor last season when Kara DioGuardi was brought onto American Idol as a fourth judge was that she was going to be replacing Paula Abdul, or act as "insurance" for the show in case Paula decided to leave. There was also a ton of rumors that there was Kara/Paula feud, but none of that is true. Kara actually talked to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show on Friday and talked about how sad she is that Paula's gone.
It's such a loss for the show, such a loss for the contestants. She's definitely the heart of the panel. The kind of heart she treated the contestants with, she treated me with last year. She was so kind to me and made me feel immediately like part of the panel. She's an incredible talent. She is somebody who helped make the show as big as it is. How could you ever replace that? If anything, she was really somebody who helped me because it was awkward at times being the fourth person. Last year, it was tough at times. Being the new kid, you get beat up a bit. I'm hoping this year that people are more accepting.
Idol is seriously going to suck without Paula. Half the reason people tuned in was so they could hear her random ass drunk and drugged up comments. It's just not gonna be the same.

Adam Lambert seen out with boyfriend
Adam Lambert was seen leaving the Guys and Dolls Spa in West Hollywood the other day, walking hand-in-hand with a guy who is rumored to be his boyfriend, Drake LaBry. There's been rumors about Drake and Adam being together for a little while, but of course with the whole "he hasn't come out of the closet" ordeal, no one is really sure. But Kara DioGuardi actually may have answered everyone's question the other day on The View when she was asked about his sexuality, saying that she didn't "think Adam was ever in the closet. I think he was always openly out."
It's pretty much fact by now that he's gay, but I don't blame him for not confirming or denying -- it's really no one else's business, so good for him.

Bikini Girl blasts Kara DioGuardi

Wednesday night's American Idol finale was easily one of the best I've ever seen. It was entertaining from start to finish, and definitely had some twists and turns, including Idol judge involvement that will never be duplicated. If you remember during the Idol tryout shows, Katrina Darrell walked onto the set wearing nothing but a bikini and thought she was the sh*t. She sang Mariah Carey's Vision of Love, and challenged Kara when she said that she couldn't sing the song well. Fast forward to Wednesday night, when Katrina started singing the song again, then Kara showed up on stage and belted out the song, making her look like a fool, then showed off a body that in my mind is a ton better than Katrina's.
Katrina had a couple of interviews yesterday talking about the whole deal, and at first she was saying how she thought Kara was pretty and a good songwriter, but then in later interviews totally trashed her, saying that she's "a songwriter who wants to be an artist that just made herself look stupid." Then she went on to say unlike Kara, she's "not 50 years old and I spray tan." Kara is only 39, for the record.
This is obviously talk of a jealous girl who knows that she got outstaged in singing and body wise. Because you can put all the fake t*ts you want on your chest and stand in a booth while you get sprayed with orange all you want, but at the end of the day, a naturally could body, tanned or not, will kick your ass, plain and simple. Katrina, you got owned, now shut the f*ck up.

Kris Allen wins American Idol

Kris Allen shocked the world last night!! Well, kinda. Kris took the title of American Idol for Season 8 after a pretty fun night. I'll get back to Kris' win in a second, but first...I'm not gonna lie, when shows usually take 2 hours to do something that takes 10 seconds (like announcing a winner), I usually get really annoyed. But the American Idol finale last night actually kept me pretty entertained. Between the Top 13 coming back to perform, not to mention crossovers like Lionel Richie and Danny Gokey, Adam Lambert and KISS, Kara DioGuardi and bikini girl, a SICK performance by the Black Eyed Peas, and a performance by Rod Stewart that made me sick -- it was a great night and kudos to everyone involved. Back to Kris -- is it me, or did he really NOT shock the world? I feel like everyone had a feeling that Kris would edge Adam out. And I know that I predicted Adam yesterday, but I really had a feeling Kris would sneak away with it. So congrats goes out to Kris, and I'm sure we'll hear from Adam and a few others from the Top 13.
By the way, 3 best parts of the night: 1) Black Eyed Peas performance -- sh*t was ELECTRIC. 2) Ryan Seacrest to Bikini Girl -- "I was gonna ask you what's new, but I already know." (Talking about her boob job) 3) Kara DioGuardi singing over Bikini Girl and kicking her ass, then ripping her dress open when she was done singing and showing of a KILLER body. Then being hilariously humble and saying that Bikini Girl had a better body? No way, Kara. Show that shizz off!! P.S. Thanks to rickey.org for the pic above -- nice O face, Kris.

Kara DioGuardi admits to eating disorder

In an interview with Extra, American Idol's newest judge Kara DioGuardi admits something she's kept a secret for about 25 years -- she used to have an eating disorder.
[I] had kind of a binge eating disorder where instead of dealing with my emotions, I would stuff them down with food. I never threw up or starved myself ... It was an eating disorder. I actually went into a treatment center for it. It was definitely that excess eating to kind of just stuff all the emotions down and the emotions were that I really was a creative kid who didn't know she was creative and didn't have those outlets because I was always afraid to join the theater group and not perform. [But] the moment I started doing music, the moment I did what I loved to do in my life and committed to it, I don't have those problems anymore... I have my outlet.
I'm sure there's a ton of girls and even guys out there that struggle with the same thing, or are emotional eaters (just look at all of the contestants on The Biggest Loser), so I think it's pretty cool that she's coming out with it and showing that just because she's a celeb doesn't mean she's not human and hasn't had obstacles to overcome.

Paula Abdul talks "Idol" and drugs

Paula Abdul chatted with ABC about all things American Idol -- whether Kara DioGuardi was forcing her off the show, what it was like to add a fourth judge, and working with Simon Cowell. She also quickly touches on the drug/alcohol rumors about her.
On rumors that DioGuardi would replace her next season: "I don't think anyone [can]. First of all, Kara says 'I could never replace you.' And I said, whenever there is change it's not about replacing anybody. It's about possibly moving on."
How she found out Idol added a fourth judge: "I just got out of this hospital this past August. I had three days to pack and go on the road. I found out on the way to the airport ... I thought that respectfully all of us as a group, maybe we could even figure this out together, and I was surprised because Simon has always been against the fourth. We've had guest judges come in before, and he banned that from happening anymore."
On 'Idol' judge DioGuardi: "Well, I started her success. And I'm proud of it. Happy of it. I moved a stranger from New York, told her to give two weeks' notice to Billboard magazine, and moved a stranger into my home in L.A ... I actually think that Simon got mad that we are friends and that I actually knew her and that her humble beginning began sleeping in my guest bedroom and I just believed in her."
On working with Simon Cowell: "He's a bully, he's a masterful bully ... The first day I went to work on season one I quit seven times. Seven times. Because I couldn't believe that someone was actually getting away with crushing fragile kids. This happens behind your back, [not] in front of your face. I couldn't take the pain that I saw, and I think being an artist who has had success, it's very vulnerable when you are the talent. And when someone attacks you with criticism that isn't constructive, sometimes it's hard to take."
On her rumored prescription drug and alcohol use: "Never. I've never been drunk in my life. I don't like it. It's not my thing. Spending money on clothes and shoes -- that's another thing."

Jason Castro scores record deal
American Idol Season 7 contestant Jason Castro is the latest alum to land himself a record deal after signing on with Atlantic Records. He'll be releasing his debut album later on this year. Included in the ton of collaborators that will be helping Jason out, is brand new American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi. Kara's magic obviously works, seeing as how she's helped out Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson, and look where they are now! (Well, look at Kelly's singing career at least, not so much the fact that she can look like a troll sometimes.)
Jason's album doesn't have a title yet, but I actually think it might come across as as fun, feel-good record to get. I can't really see him busting out a ton of ballads, so it may actually be a decent album.

Don't expect four Idol judges next year

The whole four judge deal on American Idol has run it's course as far as popularity goes, and no one is a fan of it at all. Not the fans, not the producers, not even the judges themselves. On camera, it may seem like the 4 judges are super tight and everything is all peaches and roses, but they're really not. Once the cameras stop, Kara is on her own. For example, during breaks, Randy, Simon, and Paula will all get up together and either talk to the crowd or go grab food, while Kara just sits in her swivel chair.
The whole idea of bringing on Kara as a fourth judge was to ease the transition of Paula leaving the show, which she planned on doing at the end of this season once her contract was up. But now, psycho ass Paula is throwing a wrench in the gears, and has decided she wants to stay on and is doing anything possible to try and extend her contract.
I actually feel kinda bad for Kara, because I totally know what it's like to be the odd person out and kinda just sit around while everyone else brings up their inside jokes and already have that chemistry together. And I honestly think Paula's a bitch, because she's contributing a lot to Kara still being on the outside looking in.

Simon Cowell hates Kara and Paula

Paula Abdul is loving the fact that her tight friendship with new American Idol judge Kara DioGuardio is driving Simon Cowell absolutely crazy. Since Kara and Paula were roomies back in the day, it's been like a reunion for them and they're closer than ever, and it's apparently making Simon sick to his stomach.
Honestly, I can't blame him. I have nothing against Kara, but I saw Paula on an episode of Rachael Ray once, and she's annoying as hell when she's around a BFF. I can only imagine what her and Kara are like behind the scenes. Simon probably wants to piledrive both of them.
