John Lennon's son reconnects with "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"

The Beatles busted out a hit song in 1967 called Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, which was the subject of a ton of speculation that the song was really about the drug LSD. The song was actually inspired by a drawing by John Lennon's son Julian of his friend Lucy, who he made diamond-shaped eyes. Fast forward over 40 years, where Julian is now re-uniting with his friend Lucy on not-so-good terms. Lucy is suffering from Lupus, and Julian decided to throw his support behind her and help her out with medical bills and all that along the way. Julian said he was "so upset to hear what happened" while Lucy is just glad that they're reconnected.

Kind of a cool story, don't you think? Well, minus the whole Lupus thing.

John Lennon wasn't gay

A new book called John Lennon: The Life, written by Beatles biographer Philip Norman, claims that John Lennon used to fantasize about having sex with his mother and wanted a gay relationship with his Beatles-mate Paul McCartney. But Paul himself and John's ex-wife, Yoko Ono (who I'll always hate for breaking up the Beatles), are claiming that's a load of BS.

I don't think [the gay claims] are true. John never ever tried anything, I slept with him a million times. I've seen him on tour roaring drunk, out of his mind in the early days before he sobered up and went to rehab. Roaring drunk and it was always with a female. If you've got a little gay tendency and you're roaring drunk I'd have caught him once.

Atta boy, Paul. Stick up for your boy! Although I might've re-worded the part where you talked about sleeping with him a million times...
