There's been tons of hints about it over the years on Family Guy, and now creator Seth MacFarlane is confirming it -- Stewie Griffin is gay. In the September issue of Playboy (yeah, the same issue with Heidi Montag wearing clothes), he talks about how writers were thinking of having Stewie come out on the show.
It had to do with the harassment he took from other kids at school. He ends up going back in time to prevent a passage in Leviticus from being written: 'Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind. It is an abomination.' Ultimately, Stewie will be gay or a very unhappy repressed heterosexual. It also explains why he's so hellbent on killing [his mother, Lois] and taking over the world: He has a lot of aggression, which comes from confusion and uncertainty about his orientation.
Seth said they decided to keep Stewie's "coming out party" pretty vague because of his age. And I frankly find it awesome that I just wrote a post about Family Guy on a celeb gossip page.
