Chicago Cubs bankruptcy

The Tribune Company, who own the Chicago Cubs, are looking to sell the team and have potential buyers in the Rickett family. But since the Tribune Co. is facing some uber money woes, they're thinking of putting the Cubbies into bankruptcy to speed up the whole selling process. Apparently if the Cubs are put into bankruptcy, it'll help extricate the team from the Tribune's own bankruptcy issues, and will just help make a quicker and cleaner sale of the team to the Rickett's.

A little trivia for ya: The last team to file for bankruptcy were the Seattle Pilots, who went bankrupt in 1970 after only playing one season. The team was sold to Bud Selig (who is now the MLB Commissioner), moved to Milwaukee and renamed the Brewers.

Chicago Cubs' pitcher Carlos Zambrano ejected from last night's game

You're probably sitting there thinking, "So what? Players get ejected from games all the time." I won't spoil the surprise for you, but just watch this 2-minute clip and see how Carlos takes out his frustration. It's f*cking hilarious.

And now, check out a quick 45-second interview with Carlos about how he takes out his aggression. At least he was a good sport about it, even though he really does act like a spoiled brat.

Cat causes chaos at Chicago Cubs game

During the 4th inning of the Cubs game at Wrigley Field on Tuesday night, a stray cat got into the stadium and ran all over the field, causing the game to stop play and security guards to try and chase it down. A bullpen security guard finally got a hold of it, and grabbed it by it's tail to hoist it into the stands. Of course, nothing animal-related can happen without animal rights activists opening their annoying little mouths, especially from a spokesperson for the Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago.

A cat's tail isn't meant to hold their weight, so there could've been some injury to the cat. Also, holding the cat that way exposes the person to great danger because the cat was obviously scared and could've still lashed out and scratched or bit that person.

Seriously? Shut up! Shut the HELL up! How about next time, they just let the cat run around the field and don't try everything to get it out of harm's way, and instead let it get drilled by a line drive. And you're bitching because he lifted the cat by its tail? I hope a cat with rabies scratches you in the balls (or the cooter, whatever you have, spokesperson.)
