Anthony Edwards, who played Dr. Mark Greene on ER up until his character died of a brain tumor a few years back, was on Rachael Ray on Thursday and confirmed that George Clooney would make a return to ER in the final season as his character, Dr. Doug Ross. In a separate interview, Noah Wyle, who played the popular Dr. Carter, confirmed that Eriq La Salle would come back to resurrect his role of Dr. Peter Benton.
I gotta say, it's totally awesome as an old school ER fan to see the originals coming back. And it has to be fun for them, too. After taking so much time off from the roles that made a lot of them famous, it's gotta be sweet to slip into those scrubs one more time.
