Maksim Chmerkovskiy wants babies with Karina Smirnoff NOW

Karina Smirnoff may be in love with fellow Dancing with the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy, but she thinks he's laying it on a little heavy by pressuring her to have kids now, even though they're not getting married for another 13 months.

Maksim is asking for a baby, but I said, 'Why don't we start with a dog first and see how that goes.' He wastes no time. He wants babies right away. I love the idea, but I am not ready yet. I am still trying to convince Maksim to get a dog, but we'd never be home to take care of it. So we need to get a dog before a baby.

Maksim kinda sounds demanding and overbearing. They start dating in October, then 2 months later he proposes to her? Granted, she accepted, but still -- what's the rush? Now he wants a kid now before they're even married? Karina even said that he's pretty much planning out the wedding because she never stopped to think about what her dream wedding day would be, but Maksim has. He actually sounds kinda creepy.

Do Their Friends Think They Rushed Into an Engagement? "A lot of them thought I rushed into it, but I know our love is real," says Maksim. "When he proposed, I had to close the ring box from shock. I got emotional and was going to start laughing, which is not a good reaction when you’re being proposed to. Maks is never at a loss for words, but he was mumbling and freaking out," says Karina.

When Will They Tie the Knot? "The engagement was tough enough to plan," says Maksim. "so I said to her, "Whatever happens from now on, it’s your plan!" I’ll pick out napkin styles if she wants me to, but other than that, I’m done." Karina adds, "Maks’ idea is to have a big wedding with a band, and my idea is to have it at city hall and take a long honeymoon. We’re negotiating now. I hate choices. There are so many options, it’s stressful."

Will DWTS Dancers Be Invited? "Yes, they’ll do our first dance for us, and we’ll be the backup dancers," says Karina.
