Billy Ray Cyrus talks Miley Cyrus Teen Choice Awards

2 weeks later, people are still talking about Miley Cyrus' performance at the Teen Choice Awards and how controversial the stripper pole part was. Well finally, her daddydukes Billy Ray is talking about it, and he's saying that he doesn't think it was a big deal at all. Check out the quick interview below.

Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus are the Cash family reincarnated?

Billy Ray Cyrus sat down for an interview with our friends at PopEater.com and touched on a wide range of topics. A couple of those topics included what father-daughter Hollywood duo from the past that he compares he and Miley to, and also how she feels about her dating Justin Gaston.

For me, I look back, there's only two relationships that I know that maybe we're similar to mine and Miley's as a father and daughter. One would be Johnny Cash and Rosanne Cash. They had something similar to what we're going through, and I'd have to say that Frank and Nancy Sinatra maybe? I know that they probably ran some parallels, you know, a couple junctures in their life. Maybe Pam Tillis and her dad, Mel Tillis, you know I look back at that and yeah may be the only three that I can relate with right now.

And as far as how he feels about his 16-year-old daughter's relationship with a 20-year-old underwear model?

You know, I think Miley, she makes good choices. She's got a great heart, a great head on her shoulders. I think what's important with Miley is how she feels, and that seems to be something that only she knows that answer to that question.

That's totally the fatherly way of telling the media that he's pissed and hates the fact that Miley is dating Justin.

Miley's parents are sick of her boyfriend

You KNEW this was going to happen. Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife (whose name escapes me at the moment -- blame the booze on Saturday night) are apparently so sick of Miley's boyfriend Justin Gaston that it causes them to argue with each other. He's been living with them for a little while, and constantly just raids the fridge and walks around in his underwear.

Eh, if I were Billy Ray, I'd be pissed too if my wife was looking at an underwear model in his underwear every day.

I'm convinced Billy Ray Cyrus is a brainless horse

Yes, a horse. Why? Because it sounded like a good insult. Billy Ray Cyrus was getting a tattoo on Friday and brought Miley and Justin Gaston along to watch, but the only thing they ended up watching was their tongues going in each other's mouths. They paid no attention to Billy Ray and ended up just making out the entire time.

Seriously, at what point as a father do you watch some 20-year-old underwear model shove his tongue down your barely 16-year-old daughter's throat before you snap his neck? Lately, Billy Ray has defined exactly what a redneck idiot is.

Billy Ray Cyrus actually APPROVES of Miley Cyrus' 20-year-old boyfriend, Justin Gaston. He said that Justin reminds him a lot of himself when he was that age.

Okay, Miley isn't even 16 yet (that Sweet 16 celebration at Disneyland was a month early), and she's dating a 20-year old. First off, HOW does Billy think that's cool, and WHY would Justin want to date someone that's not even old enough to drive?!

New Metro Station video will be family affair

The Cyrus family is going to have a reunion in the new Metro Station video for Seventeen Again. Apparently, Trace recruited his sister Miley and papadukes Billy Ray to be in the video. The 3 are going to be featured in a clip where they're on a bumper car ride. Trace is going to be cruising around then get leveled by Miley out of nowhere. Billy Ray is going to be the ride operator.

For the second time in 3 days, Miley Cyrus was seen out with Nashville Star contestant and model Justin Gaston. Looks like they're getting awfully close...

After last month's Vanity Fair hit store shelves and people saw a lot more of Miley Cyrus than expected, her father Billy Ray has finally broken his silence about his daughter and the infamous bare-back picture.

The thing you got to look at in life, whether you're an entertainer or whether you're a farmer, whatever you do in life, there's going to be peaks and valleys. I think one of the things my dad taught me and hopefully I instilled in Miley, is that when you get knocked down, you've got to get back up because it's not going to do any good to lie on the ground and cry about it. I think she has a lot to be proud of. I think the positive far outweighs the negative.

Yeah Miley, like Daddy said, it's not going to do any good to lie on the ground and cry about it. So take pics of yourself in your underwear and post them on Myspace instead!
