Chevy Chase TV show

Chevy Chase is making his first return to network TV this fall since his days back on Saturday Night Live. Chevy stars in a show called Community, which is like a comedic version of The Breakfast Club (which gets referenced a ton in the show). The show follows a group of community college students who get together and form a really unlikely study group.
Community will air as part of NBC's Thursday night lineup and it premieres on Sept 17 at 9:30p. Until then, enjoy some sneak peeks at the show below!

Some returning TV shows and premieres held off until mid-season

A boatload of TV shows that are either returning (like 24 and Lost) or debuting (like The Cleveland Show and Dollhouse) have been held off until mid-season, which means they won't hit the boob tube until about January. Check out which of your favorite shows and new shows will be hitting the small screen a bit later on right here.

Michelle Trachtenberg will be on Gossip Girl

Mischa Barton was rumored to have been offered a role on the WB's breakout hit "Gossip Girl" but turned it down in a "been there, done that" sort of moment.

Enter Michelle Trachtenberg.

Even though her name is a pain in the donkey punch to type, I'd still date her if things ever go sour with Sophia Bush.

'The Track' will star as Georgina Sparks, a character in the novels the show is based around... and she'll look smoking while doing it.

Look for her on "Gossip Girl" during the May sweeps. I will.

Meanwhile Mischa Barton keeps getting DUI's and will be going topless in an upcoming film to try to make the leap to "serious actress." Hello Tara Reid 2.0.

Good move, girlfriend dos.

I'd look sad too, even if I had boobs.

Jerry Seinfeld is coming back to NBC - New Show!

Jerry Seinfeld has (thankfully) realized that 1990 was a long time ago and that his stand-up routine is a bit dated. So he's coming back to NBC!

Seinfeld is in talks with the network for a new show described as "Curb Your Enthusiasm" with Jerry instead of Larry David, who of course created "Seinfeld."

It all sounds confusing - and a bit stupid - but "Seinfeld" episodes still hold up today... and "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen, so I'll bite. I hope this show makes it to the regular schedule. At least it'll keep Jerry off the stand-up circuit. I saw him do some stand-up on Conan O'Brien a few months ago... OUCH!

And if Jerry makes it again on NBC after 15 years away, maybe it'll give Chumbawumba some hope to finally have a follow-up hit to "Tubthumping."

Cleveland is getting his own Family Guy spinoff show!

Peter Griffin's buddy Cleveland Brown is getting his own spinoff show!

The project -- so far appropriately called "Cleveland," is being written by "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane.

This could be excellent.

It also could be "American Dad" bad.

By the way, FOX has also greenlighted a spinoff show for "Prison Break" as well.

Glad to see the writers were working on original ideas during their time off.

"Pushing Daisies" Makes Me Feel Undead!!!

As lame as it makes me sound, "Pushing Daisies" is the most beautiful, magical, & heart-warming TV series (judging solely on the pilot) that I've seen since "21 Jump Street."

(Don't judge me -- it was a sensitive period in my life.)

Anyway --- LOVE it! Watch it next week... Wednesdays 8pm ABC. Easily my favorite new show in a dismal new show TV season.

Oh yeah... and I love "Kitchen Nightmares" on FOX too. But don't hold that against me. "Pushing Daisies" is ACTUALLY quality.

Hopefully they can keep the magic up past the first few weeks.

Knight Rider is Coming Back!

All things old are hip again. (Except in the case of my grandma... she's old but just needs a new hip again.) Case in point -- "Knight Rider" is coming back! (cue wicked awesome Youtube clip:)

NBC is going to air the made for TV movie/pilot for a new "Knight Rider" show. It's being directed by Doug Liman, who also directed "The OC." Well I guess a car has just about as much charisma as Mischa Barton so it should work out fine.

Oh yeah. One more thing. KITT will now be a "shapeshifter" ala "Transformers." And they may go up against other shapeshifters as arch-enemies. Now if they could just somehow mix "The Snorks" into the equation, this could be the best 80's mash-up ever.

Reason 24867 Why TV is in the Sh*tter

A 30 minute series for the Geico commercial cavemen is no longer the dumbest idea for a tv show anymore. They're currently casting for "My Big Redneck Wedding." Umm... anyones else feel the "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" spin-off jokes ran their coarse 4 years ago? Anyway, here's the press release for those unbelievers... or for those who just popped the big question at a pig roast:

CMT is currently casting for a new reality series “My Big Redneck Wedding”. This show will document the planning and preparation it takes to pull off a truly fun, down to earth, rootin’ tootin’ redneck nuptial. From denim wedding dresses to camouflage tuxedos, shotgun solutes and arriving at the reception on an ATV – anything goes, as long as it’s rowdy and redneck.

We are currently looking for couples who appear to be between the ages of 18 and 45.
Are planning a super redneck wedding and have set a date anywhere from September to December 2007.
Would like to share their lives and wedding day with us.
Are redneck and proud of it.

We are scheduled to begin shooting immediately so if you or anyone you know meets this criteria, please e-mail us at redneckwedding@pinksneakers.net
Please be sure to include your name, contact information, wedding location and a photo of the bride and groom.

Should you have any additional questions regarding our intentions or the show, or if you would like to know more, please feel free to contact us at anytime. Time is of the essence.
