Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo split

After denying breakup rumors for what seemed like months, Vanessa Minnillo's rep has released an official statement that her and Nick Lachey have split up. The rep said that the split was amicable and they "remain good friends who still greatly care for one another."

Bullsh*t, they hate each other and we all know it. If they still greatly cared for each other and were good friends, they'd still be together. That excuse only works if you try dating your best friend and realize after the first kiss or whatever that it's like kissing your sister, brother, or Aunt Tilda.

For months now, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have been on the rocks, fighting about as much as Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson did before they broke up. There's rumors being thrown around now that Vanessa is cheating on Nick with her old Disaster Movie co-star Matt Lanter. They've been seen together a lot lately, but both of them insist that they're just friends.

I was going to say that I actually believe Vanessa because as dumb as celebrities can be, they don't normally flaunt their cheating ways out in public, but then I thought of Balthazar Getty being naked on a boat with Sienna Miller, and then thought of LeAnn Rimes making out with Eddie Cibrian at a restaurant. So, I really don't know what to believe, but you can bet this isn't going to help Nick and Vanessa's relationship at all!

Nick Lachey and his boo Vanessa Minnillo are said to be on very shaky ground and could be on the verge of splitting up. They were out at the Cheesecake Factory together the other night and instead of having a nice dinner, looked like they were trying to figure out if they could stab the other with the butter knife and get away with it.

It just goes to show that once you get naked and get it on in a hot tub, it's all downhill from there.

Almost as quick as the rumors went around the Vanessa Minnilo and Nick Lachey were splitting up, new rumors have surfaced that they're doing just fine.

As early as a couple days ago, Miss Manda posted this story about the breakup, saying Vanessa was supposedly bringing up the topic of marriage way too much.

But new reports are saying that the former Mr. Jessica Simpson and the ex-TRL host are doing just fine, and the breakup actually happened two weeks ago, but they repaired their relationship just a few days later.

Sorry ladies, looks like you're gonna have to keep those fingers crossed a bit longer for a shot at snuggling up at the beach on a 98 degree day with Nick (see what I did there?)
