Sammy Sosa gained some hardcore popularity back in 1998 when he was involved in the infamous "Race to Maris" with fellow slugger (and andro-popper) Mark McGwire to break Roger Maris' single season homerun record of 61 (McGwire was the one that ended up breaking the record first). No one really thought Sammy was on steroids until he ended up seriously declining in the years after the race. And now, it's being confirmed, because Sammy is on the list of 104 players that tested positive for performance enhancing drugs back in '03 (the same list that Alex Rodriguez is on).
Not as big of a blow to the game as finding out A-Rod is really A-Roid and Manny was trying to grow man-boobs since Sammy hasn't been relevant in the last decade, but it still blows to see all of the popular players over the years getting busted.
