Last month, I posted a story about Katie Holmes being involved in the PBS National Memorial Day Concert while she portrayed the sister of Staff Sgt. Jose Pequeno, who was injured by a grenade while he was serving in Iraq. Tom was in the crowd (actually sitting next to Colin Powell) watching his wife and trying to use his celebrity to get more donations for Jose's family. Well, it turns out that Tom and Katie have been helping an ex-con. Jose's mother, Nellie Bagley, was convinced two times in New Hampshire for fraud and spent two years in prison after claiming that her daughter was sick with cancer and ended up getting a sh*t ton of money in donations from co-workers. Tom and Katie had no clue about Nellie's past.
