Madonna allowed to adopt another Malawi child

A couple of months ago, Madonna was attempting to adopt another child from Malawi (Chifundo "Mercy" James), but was denied by the courts. The decision has been overturned by Chief Justice Lovemore Munlo, saying that the lower court's decision was out of touch with the times (they blocked it because of her not living in Malawi long enough) and that Madonna's willingness to make a better life for disadvantaged children should've been looked at.

In this global village a man can have more than one place at which he resides. The matter of residence should be determined at the time of application of the adoption. In this case, Madonna was in Malawi not by chance but by intention. She is looking after several orphans whose welfare depends on her. She can therefore not be described as a sojourner.

I gotta say, I may think Madonna is annoying and shizz, but she really DOES help those kids out and give them a better life. So good for her in getting the decision overturned.
