It's not really that well-known, but tons of celebrities use alter-ego/alias names when they check into hotels purely for security reasons. For example, when Sarah Palin made her appearance on Saturday Night Live last month, she checked into her hotel as "Tina" (as in Fey...hey, look who has a sense of humor!)
