The last time I even heard about Coach Rush Propst was when he was coaching the Hoover Bucs in Alabama, the team that was featured on the MTV show Two-a-Days. So imagine how f*cking shocked I was when I saw a guy that looked EXACTLY like him standing at a stop waiting for the train on the way to Fenway last night. I leaned over to my cousin and told him it looked like Coach Propst and he wasn't sure. Then when we heard him talk, we knew it was him -- not to mention you couldn't miss the huge f*cking bling he was wearing on his finger (one of SEVERAL state championships he won at Hoover.) I'm pretty sure he knew I recognized him too, because right when he got on the train (which was loaded, so we were pretty much on top of each other anyway), he started talking to me.
Gotta say...Coach Propst is the NICEST guy ever. Really friendly, didn't act like a celebrity or a pr*ck or like he was the sh*t or anything -- real down-to-earth, funny, nice guy. And he's a Sox fan to boot, which makes him the man.
