Deezer D, who's best known for playing Nurse Malik McGrath on ER for 15 seasons, went under the knife yesterday for a risky heart surgery to replace his aorta and repair a leaking valve. The surgery took 6 hours and was done to prevent the same heart problem that killed John Ritter back in 2003. Deezer is going to remain in the ICU for the next 2 days to be monitored, and if all goes well, he'll be moved down to a regular floor for 7 more days.
Deezer was the shizz as Malik on ER. Here's to a speedy and healthy recovery!
