The stage is set. The Season 8 showdown of American Idol comes down to Adam Lambert and Kris Allen. Last night, Danny Gokey was sent home after getting the least amount of votes from America. This came just a night after Simon Cowell called Danny's version of Joe Cocker's You Are So Beautiful a "vocal master class." What may have did him in though was the dancing during his version of Terence Trent D'Arby's Dance Little Sister, even though it was Paula's song choice. Not to mention that followed up a performance he did last week where he tried screaming like Steven Tyler of Aerosmith. Probably not the best decisions.

I did not get to watch the elimination episode this week, but I did watch the competition show. Every time I hear Danny sing a song about love, I literally start to cry, as I can’t help but to think about his tragic loss and what he must be feeling as he sings. I hope everything works out well for him, in his career and in his life.
I know isn't that story so horrible, Chrystal? But hey, this kid is going places...he's got way too much talent not to.
