Phil Mickelson put his golf career on hold after hearing some horrible news from his wife, Amy. She's been diagnosed with breast cancer. Phil was scheduled to begin play in the HP Byron Nelson Championship today as well as defend his title at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial next week, but he's pulled out of both tournaments to be there for his wife, who may be undergoing major surgery within the next two weeks.
Gotta give props to Phil for having his priorities straight. Our best wishes, thoughts, and prayers go out to the Mickelson family.
