CBS and NBC both cancel more shows

I threw up a post yesterday on some TV shows that were cancelled (Samantha Who? and The Unusuals), and I just found out 4 more shows got the axe as well. CBS has just cut the long-running military drama The Unit (which stars the dude from the Allstate commercials, who is the same guy that played Pedro Cerrano in the Major League movies -- BAD ASS!) as well as mainstay crime drama Without a Trace (remember when they did a crossover with CSI?) At the same time, NBC is cutting the hit show My Name is Earl and Medium.

On the plus side, rumor has it that CBS is close to settling a deal that will bring Medium onto that network, while Fox is talking about picking up Earl. The thing I don't get about CBS picking up Medium -- why cut 2 of your more popular shows, only to pick up a show from another network? Dummies.
