Paula doesn't feel threatened by the presence of another female judge in the upcoming season of IDOL.. she welcomes her... "It’s about time another girl joined,” Abdul told PEOPLE Monday at the U.S. Open opening night celebration in Flushing, N.Y. “More girl power.”
The two have been friends for a while so there is no tension.. they worked together on a song for Kylie Mignogue back in the day...
But will adding another female judge take the spotlight away from Abdul? “No,” says the singer. “This is great for the show. I’ve been waiting for this. I really have and people will love her. She’s great!”

So with the ratings dropping and the producer leaving the show, Idol has been looking at ways to boost its popularity... they've decided to add a 4th judge!!!!!! Is this not crazy news?!?! They're adding another female... a songwriter, Kara DioGuardi... she's wrote alot of hits for Ashlee Simpson and not sure who else.. haha
Adds executive producer Cecile Frot-Coutaz, "We had originally intended for AMERICAN IDOL to have four judges. We've seen from our international series that having a fourth judge creates a dynamic that benefits both the contestants and the viewers."
I think it might be too much but we'll see... do you think she'll be mean like Simon or another Paula?

I get to do what I love and love what I do, so no, it doesn't put a damper on anything. Kim's great. She's got a little bit of insight on it which definitely helps. She's very supportive, and not only with me but with my entire family, which is huge. She's great.

anybody remember her? She was a tiny thing... but not anymore... she's expecting.. she's also 19... which is older than I thought she'd be.. so I guess she's not horribly young for a baby...
The Rockford, Ill., native's mother, Jamecia Bennett, told the paper that the father "chooses not to be in the public eye." She added that Paris "has a ring" and is expecting to have a baby shower in August.
Paris was a contestant on the 2006 season and went on to make an album, which featured a duet with the kid who looked like Chicken Little.. and sadly, he was rapping in the song haha it was hilarious...

That's right, David Archuleta has never been kissed. The 17-year-old Idol runner-up has gone on record saying he still hasn't gotten his first kiss yet. I can't say I'm all that surprised though.
I mean, he did act like an awkward pubescent teen whenever he was interviewed on TV, and sounded like he had the puberty voice whenever he talked.
Maybe he's just shy? Yeah, we'll go with that before we start any rumors... ::cough::Clay Aiken::cough::

I've never seen Jeff be anything but a caring, loving father, so for me it’s much ado about nothing.

Any Archuleta fans out there????? He just scored a record deal with JIVE RECORDS! Old home of Miss Britney Spears!!! And it's the same label that Cook got signed to so that's awesome! Maybe they'll do a duet :)
Simon Fuller, the mastermind behind Idol and the chief executive of 19 Entertainment Label Group, called Archuleta a “genuine pop star” and said he “has a great future ahead of him.”
I'M SO EXCITEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

David Cook IS dating former fellow Idol contestant, Kimberly Caldwell. She appeared in the 2nd season alongside Mr. Ruben Studdard.
How'd the two meet? He appeared on her show on the TV Guide Network and put her on the spot. Cook spewed the following...."I'm just excited because I finally get to talk to you," he told her during an interview Wednesday night on the Idol Tonight show. "I've been hearing you say all these nice things about me all season, So I'm actually going to ask you to dinner right now."
Caldwell accepted, with a hug, telling the camera after Cook left, "I just got asked out on a date."
Hahaha soooo random but they're cute, hope it works :)

I so want one :( Check out the chopper that David Cook received for winning Idol. Ultra Motorcycle Co. of Temecula, California made it for the new winner. It features a few past Idols on the right of the gas tank and all judges on the back! Hahaha

We've arrived at our final DAVID VS DAVID destination.... who's gonna take it home??
The finale should be awesome tonight... here's what's planned for tonight:
Insider info states that the finale will include a virtual hologram of Gladys Knight singing "Midnight Train to Georgia" with Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Downey Jr. singing backup as the Pips. That should be amazingly funny if it's true! "Idol" did this last season when Celine Dion sang along with Elvis. Though, not sure why they are attempting this again with a well-and-alive Gladys Knight? She could have just sang in person haha
I also heard that the Jonas Brothers, ZZ Top (haha going old school), Seal, Bryan Adams, One Republic, Jordin Sparks and Carrie Underwood will also perform.

Like last week, in no way is this "worst performance" a horrible performance. Archuleta sang it well, but at the same time, I'm so sick of hearing ballads as the winning song. And it didn't stick in my head like Cook's choice did.
That being said, I'm on Team Archuleta to win tonight. He's a true face of American Idol, plus David Cook would be better suited in a band like Daughtry is. But I think Cook can blow Daughtry out of the water, hands down.

Last night was awesome! I thought both Davids did amazing!! I think the praising that Archuleta got from the judges totally worked in Cook's favor though. Cook fans got nervous and kept calling in. According to dialidol.com, he is favored to take home the title tonight! Who do you think will come up on top?

I know this is pretty shocking since it's a song that no one has ever heard before, but Cookie KILLED it with his performance of Dream Big. This song was stuck in my head for 5 mins after he finished, and I think that says something. Plus, I'm sick of the winning song being some puke-worthy ballad.

The question is which one?!? It's gonna be a DAVID vs. DAVID finale, just like I was hoping!! Haha Syesha Mercado got sent home last night, which leaves the 2 boys. I think they both have their strong points and weaknesses. Should be an intense finale.. I hope I'm not too nervous to watch! haha
