John Lennon's son reconnects with "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"

The Beatles busted out a hit song in 1967 called Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, which was the subject of a ton of speculation that the song was really about the drug LSD. The song was actually inspired by a drawing by John Lennon's son Julian of his friend Lucy, who he made diamond-shaped eyes. Fast forward over 40 years, where Julian is now re-uniting with his friend Lucy on not-so-good terms. Lucy is suffering from Lupus, and Julian decided to throw his support behind her and help her out with medical bills and all that along the way. Julian said he was "so upset to hear what happened" while Lucy is just glad that they're reconnected.

Kind of a cool story, don't you think? Well, minus the whole Lupus thing.

Never before heard Beatles track being released!!

The Observer of Britain is reporting that former Beatles member Paul McCartney wants to release a never-before-heard track from the 4 British Boys. He calls the 14-minute track it the "holy grail of Beatles obsessives." It's a totally improvised track called Carnival of Light.

As a ridiculously huge Beatles fan, I'm pretty pumped for this and can't wait until it's released.

The Beatles are reuniting!!!

You read it right! Paul, Ringo, George, and John are all getting back together to rock the world!! Well, sort of. With such huge success from the Rock Band games, Harmonix has decided to bring back one of the most classic bands of all time for their own game -- The Beatles. Reps from Harmonix said that the game won't be part of the Rock Band series, but it will be compatible with the Rock Band instruments. It's slated for a 2009 holiday season release.

That's really all that's known about the game so far, but that's all any Beatles fan needs to know!! Right Santino?

John Lennon wasn't gay

A new book called John Lennon: The Life, written by Beatles biographer Philip Norman, claims that John Lennon used to fantasize about having sex with his mother and wanted a gay relationship with his Beatles-mate Paul McCartney. But Paul himself and John's ex-wife, Yoko Ono (who I'll always hate for breaking up the Beatles), are claiming that's a load of BS.

I don't think [the gay claims] are true. John never ever tried anything, I slept with him a million times. I've seen him on tour roaring drunk, out of his mind in the early days before he sobered up and went to rehab. Roaring drunk and it was always with a female. If you've got a little gay tendency and you're roaring drunk I'd have caught him once.

Atta boy, Paul. Stick up for your boy! Although I might've re-worded the part where you talked about sleeping with him a million times...
