Grey's Anatomy funeral pics

Check out a couple pics of the Grey's Anatomy stars in the middle of filming the funeral scene for T.R. Knight's character George O'Malley. T.R. won't be appearing on the show, even after creator Shonda Rhimes was hoping he'd come back for one more episode in the new season so that they could show the events that went down in the Finale last season (George jumping in front of the bus to save a woman.)

T.R. Knight says why he left Grey's Anatomy

We heard tons of rumors all throughout last season's airing of Grey's Anatomy that T.R. Knight was going to leave the show, but it didn't become final until just a few weeks ago. Now, T.R. is speaking out for the first time on just exactly why he decided to leave the show that made him a star. He said that in the first 9 episodes of the last season of Grey's, his character George was only featured for 48 minutes, versus Sandra Oh's character of Christina, who was featured for about 118 mins.

My five-year experience proved to me that I could not trust any answer that was given [about George]. And with respect, I'm going to leave it at that. There just comes a time when it's so clear that moving on is the best decision... From an outsider's perspective, I get the [impression that] 'He's just a spoiled actor... he doesn't know how good he has it.' There are a lot of people who would like to be in my position. But in the end, I need to be fulfilled in my work – that's more important than the money. [So] that's the goal. If I'm lucky to ever work again.

A few months ago, show creator Shonda Rhimes said on her Twitter page that she purposely underwrote George all season long so that the accident at the end of the season finale that involved him would be that much more impactful. I can see where she's coming from because it was definitely a HOLY SH*T! moment, but I don't blame T.R. for being pissed either.

Jessica Capshaw promoted to series regular on Grey's

While Grey's Anatomy will be missing a little bit of O'Malley, they're going to get a sh*t ton of Arizona. Creator Shonda Rhimes has confirmed that she's promoting Jessica Capshaw from a recurring guest star to a full-fledged series regular after seeing how well she's done with her role of Dr. Arizona Robbins.

I love Jessica Capshaw. And when I say love I mean LOVE. She couldn't be a more wonderful person, and I feel like the chemistry Arizona and Callie have feels like the Meredith and Derek chemistry to me. I find them delightful to watch.

Yay for lesbian love on primetime TV. Now THAT'S a must-see Thursday. Congrats goes out to Jessica!

T.R. Knight officially leaving Grey's Anatomy (for rizzeal this time)

I feel like all I've been posting for the last 6 months is "T.R. Knight is leaving. No, he's staying. No, he's going. Actually, I don't know what the f*ck he's doing." Well, now I DO know, because it's uber official now. T.R. is NOT coming back to Grey's Anatomy next season, which means that George O'Malley is going to die on the table that he flatlined on in the season finale. All of the rumors started because T.R. was pissed because the writers kept storylines for George at a real minimum and wrote light on him. A lot of people thought it was because T.R. and creator Shonda Rhimes had a little beef, but Shonda said he was written light all season so that the twist with him being the deformed John Doe that got destroyed by the bus would have that much more of an impact.

There IS good news for Grey's fans though -- a lot of people became skeptical that Katherine Heigl was going to be leaving the show too, especially since we saw Izzy Stevens flatline at the same time George did in the season finale. Katherine just re-upped on her contract, so she'll be back for another year. As bummed as I am to see T.R./George go, I'm beyond happy that this sh*t is finally figured out.

Shonda Rhimes shoots down another Grey's rumor

Just got word on another Grey's Anatomy rumor. Somehow, word got around that since T.R. Knight is possibly leaving the show, they were going to facially reconstruct the face of George O'Malley (because of his bus accident in the season finale) and re-cast the role to someone else. Well, the creator herself, Shonda Rhimes, hit up Twitter to say that the rumor is FALSE. Check out the confirmation below.

I'd LOVE to know how that one got started.

T.R. Knight leaving Grey's Anatomy?

And here come the Grey's Anatomy rumors. In what I think was a genius move by producers and creator Shonda Rhimes to play off of Internet rumors earlier this year of both T.R. Knight and Katherine Heigl leaving the show, the season finale ended with both George O'Malley and Izzy Stevens flatlining and trying to be revived. Since the show, fans have wondered if both, just George, just Izzy, or neither were going to die. We just heard yesterday that you shouldn't expect George to make it.

I'm not going to completely confirm this, but I've heard from multiple sources that T.R. wasn't coming back. Then again, we've heard back and forth stories about him leaving since February, so who knows at this point.

Grey's Anatomy finale was a heartwrencher

This is more just an opinion than an actual post about a story, but I thought the Grey's Anatomy finale was AWESOME. I'm big on twists and turns that you don't see coming, and I gotta say...this 2-hour finale was full of them. I'm not giving anyway ANY info on what happened in the episode, just because I don't want to spoil it for those who might've missed it and have it waiting for them on their DVRs, but let me say I don't think you'll be disappointed. Some things you kinda see possibly coming but you forget about it during the show, and some things just hit you completely out of the blue. And of course, like most season finale's, the final 5 minutes are total chaos, and make you pissed off that you won't find out what happens until the next round of season premieres in September.

So if you haven't seen the finale yet from last night, enjoy it! If you HAVE seen it, feel free to leave comments on this post, but just don't spoil it for the others! All I'll say is this -- the way the episode ends makes you wonder even more if rumors from a few months ago are true.

Tons of season finales tonight!

No question Thursday night is the best night for TV. That being said, there's a TON of season finale's tonight at 9pm eastern, so set your DVR's! Hell's Kitchen will air Part 2 of it's finale tonight on FOX, with the winner being named. The Grey's Anatomy will air at the same time on ABC and we'll probably find out what happens with Izzy Stevens' cancer battle and the aftermath of her and Alex getting married last week. Then, also at the same time, you got the finale for CSI on CBS, followed up by the season finale of CSI:NY. And at the same time, ABC will air the season finale of Private Practice. And just a heads up, Survivor: Tocantins airs at 8pm on CBS tonight and will set up its finale that will air Sunday night.

GOOD TV going on tonight, so make sure you catch some of it and DVR the rest, and tell your friends to keep their mouths shut tomorrow morning at the water cooler or in class!!

Details on the Grey's Anatomy wedding

Everyone thinks that Grey's Anatomy is the greatest show on TV and they have original ideas that don't mirror the stuff you can find on ER or any other doctor show -- well guess what? THEY'RE RIPPING OFF BOY MEETS WORLD!! Back in the day when Boy Meets World was on T.G.I.F. on ABC, Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence were getting married. When they finally got to the arc in the storyline where the wedding was going to happen, ABC set up a webpage that fans could RSVP to and leave messages for them. Turns out, Grey's Anatomy is doing the same thing!!

Grey's creator Shonda Rhimes has created a webpage on some wedding website for Meredith and McDreamy's wedding, which is set up as a blog by Izzie Stevens. It's a neat idea, but a total ripoff of Boy Meets World, which just goes to show that BMW was the best effing show ever. You can visit Meredith and Derek's wedding page here. The wedding will air on May 14.

Grey's Anatomy is about to get sucky

Grey's Anatomy very well could be on its way out after James Pickens Jr. (The Chief, Richard Webber) let it slip that Katherine Heigl (Izzy Stevens) and T.R. Knight (George O'Malley) are leaving the show. There's been rumors surrounding both of them since the beginning of the season, with people saying T.R. was leaving because he felt like he didn't get enough screen time, and Katherine possibly getting killed off because of remarks she made about the Grey's writers.

If this is true, I honestly can't say I blame them. I don't know if the producers and writers decided to team up and "punish" each of them for causing such a stir, but T.R. really hasn't gotten any screen time lately. I think last week he was on for a few seconds in the final minutes of the show. And Katherine's character just finished a little storyline about having sex with a dead guy. Really? Banging a dead guy? You can't do any better? Then again, if you're on one of the top rated shows on TV, you're probably making decent money. In which case, shut the hell up and ride it out.

Another one bites the dust on Grey's

Just call Grey's Anatomy the revolving door of Hollywood, because countless stars just come and go all the time. Between T.R. Knight wanting to bail, rumors that Katherine Heigl would be fired, Brooke Smith getting let go, and now the latest one to leave, Melissa George, I can't see the show being on air for much longer. Melissa, who played Meredith Grey's long lost friend Sadie Harris, apparently left on her own, but something seems fishy.

It looked like Melissa's character was going to get into a lesbian relationship with Sara Ramirez's character, Callie Torres, but suddenly she's off the show. Just a few months back, Brooke's character of Erica Hahn was getting it on with Callie, and then Brooke was let go. Something seems fishy to me, that's all. I'm not sayin', but I'm just sayin'.

Okay, I have NO idea what's going on with T.R. Knight

Us Magazine is reporting that T.R. Knight has actually decided to stick it out on Grey's Anatomy and not leave the show. Of course, that's what we reported from the start, then heard that it was just disaster control from his rep and that T.R. actually wanted to leave. So honestly, I have NO clue what's going on with him right now, but as soon as I find out for sure, I'll let you know.

On the other end of the spectrum though, Brooke Smith, who was let go from the show a few weeks ago, said that Grey's was a "good experience" and that "there's no hard feelings." Holy dramafest, Batman!!

Katherine Heigl definitely on her way out of Grey's?

With her real life BFF, T.R. Knight, asking for his release from his contract and on his way off the set of Grey's Anatomy, it's being said that Katherine Heigl isn't too far behind. She pissed off execs by taking her name out of the hat for the 2008 Emmys by saying the writers weren't giving her anything good, T.R. is leaving, and her character is now getting railed by a dead guy. Doesn't really sound like much of a reason to stick around on a show, especially since she pulls in an easy $6 mil for every movie she does.

Losing three characters in one season, huh? R.I.P. Grey's Anatomy.

Update on T.R. Knight wanting to leave Grey's

I realize that yesterday I posted the rumors about T.R. Knight wanting to leave Grey's Anatomy were false, so consider this a retraction. But it's not totally stupidity on my part. T.R.'s rep said that contrary to reports, he hadn't walked off the set during the middle of filming, and he was on the set as early as Monday filming like any other normal day. It turns out the rumors that T.R. wants out of his contract are true, though. It sounds like he's not happy with the direction his character of George O'Malley is going, and he's also still a little bitter that it took show creator Shonda Rhimes so long to publicly reprimand Isaiah Washington (Dr. Burke) for his gay-bashing comments.

Maybe instead of choosing to release their stars or allow them to leave, the execs for Grey's should look at their writers. They fire Brooke Smith about a month ago because the writers apparently couldn't further her character's storyline, and now T.R. isn't happy with the direction of his character? Not to mention they have Katherine Heigl's character banging a dead guy right now. Just sayin'.

T.R. Knight leaving Grey's Anatomy?!

Fear not, Grey's fans, contrary to reports in the tabloids and on other gossip sites, T.R. Knight isn't going ANYWHERE, and you'll still be seeing plenty of George O'Malley. Rumors were swirling that T.R. had walked off the set in the middle of filming and had even said his goodbyes to his hair and makeup artists, but his rep shot down the rumors and said he's never walked off set and he was on the set of the show yesterday filming like any other day.

Grey's Anatomy spoiler...kind of

The big talk about Grey's Anatomy right now is how (and why) Katherine Heigl's character of Izzy Stevens is having sex with her dead boyfriend, Denny Duquette (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.) Toward the beginning of the season, there was talk of Izzy developing a brain tumor as a way of killing her off after Katherine talked a bunch of poop about the Grey's writers, but creator Shonda Rhimes denied that they're killing her character off, and is denying that it's a brain tumor. The new rumor is that she has an aneurysm-like disease that's causing all of her hallucinations. And execs on the show can do nothing but back Shonda.

It's definitely an unorthodox story, but I trust in Shonda. If we interfere, we get blamed for messing with someone's creative vision. If we don't do anything, we get blamed for the backlash. You really can't win.

Here's what I don't get. You fire Brooke Smith (Dr. Erica Hahn) because you tell her you have nothing left for the storyline of her character (who JUST realized she's a lesbian), yet you can justify the storyline of a character banging a dead guy? Yeah that's not fishy or anything.

The former Dr. Burke bashes Grey's

Isaiah Washington, who played Dr. Burke on Grey's Anatomy for 3 seasons before getting fired for stupidly using a homophobic slur to co-star T.R. Knight (who plays George O'Malley and is openly gay), has put producers of the show on blast for firing Brooke Smith.

I looked at a brilliant actress, whom I have adored since I first saw her in Silence of the Lambs. For her to be treated this way, I find very interesting. The fact is that, just before the holidays, you have a mother, a wonderful actress removed from a steady income without the proper reasoning behind it ... You look at the way another consummate professional [is] being treated because her character, her story line [has] potentially made producers uncomfortable. Now that I see what they're doing to a show that I love and I care about, I think it's disgusting.

His harsh feelings aside, he said that he'd return to the show as Dr. Burke in an instant. Hmm...I think if you're trying to capitalize on Brooke's firing and looking at there being a possible opening, pooping on the producers isn't a good way to get back in.

Brooke Smith's last appearance on "Grey's" is TONIGHT!

If you're a huge fan of Dr. Erica Kahn on Grey's Anatomy, make sure you tune in tonight, because it will be Brooke Smith's last show! We reported on Tuesday that she was let go from the show because of the writers didn't know what to do with her character and storyline (at least, that's the excuse they're giving.) We reported yesterday that Patrick Dempsey was on Ellen and discussed it. Check out the video of his appearance below.

Patrick Dempsey reacts to Brooke Smith firing

Dr. McSteamy himself, Patrick Dempsey, was a guest on Ellen this morning and commented on the release of his co-star on Grey's Anatomy, Brooke Smith.

ABC actually sent me over what I should respond. So ABC's response, this is [what] you should say - 'Brooke Smith has been... We've had a great time working with her and that the conclusion of her has been orgasmic,' -- I'm sorry, I'm dyslexic, 'organic ending to the story line.'

I literally laughed out loud when I heard this, first of all. Secondly, it kinda sounds like people know what's going on but just don't want to make it public, not even to Brooke. Hmmm...

Brooke Smith leaving "Grey's Anatomy"

Anyone a fan of Dr. Hahn from Grey's Anatomy? If you are, make sure you're watching the show this Thursday, because it'll be her last one. Brooke Smith has pretty much been straight up fired from the show, and it's not really known why, although the rumor is that it has something to do with her lesbian relationship on the show with Sara Ramirez, who plays Callie Torres.

I was very excited when they told me that Erica and Callie were going to have this relationship. And I really hoped we were going to show what happens when two women fall in love and that they were going to treat it like any heterosexual couple on TV. And so I was surprised and disappointed when they just suddenly told me that they couldn't write for my character any more. When they told me I asked, 'When is this happening?' And they said, 'The [next episode] is your last,' which is the one that airs this Thursday. So it was very sudden. I'm not written out. My final scene is just me heading to my car. I honestly don't know what happens in the next episode. I heard not much.

Ouch, talk about getting the shaft. I thought her character rocked and the storyline with her and Callie was awesome (aside from the fact that I'm a guy and 2 hot women kissing is sexy.)
