Jay Bennett, who was a member of the band Wilco for seven years until he left in 2001, died in his sleep yesterday from unknown causes. Jay actually made some of his health problems known on his Myspace blog, where he said that he needed hip surgery ASAP from a stage fall back in the 90's. There's an autopsy under way to figure out what happened to the 45-year-old multi-instrumentalist.
