Porn star Sasha Grey actually does well in real movie role

For the record, I'm not knocking porn stars at all. I mean, having your job be to have sex, although unclassy, is probably one of the coolest jobs in the world. I mean...seriously. You get paid to have sex. NOT with random people on the street corner. Where's the downside? Either way, it's pretty much assumed that a porn star could never make it in an actual movie. Until Sasha Grey came along and had a role in a flick called The Girlfriend Experience, where she plays a prostitute. I get it -- not too far away from her element, but still, she's gotten pretty good reviews. Check out what Roger Ebert has to say.

Grey wasn't hired because of her willingness to have sex on screen; there's no explicit sex in the movie and only fleeting nudity. I suspect Soderbergh cast her because of her mercenary approach to sex -- and her acting talent, which may not be ready for Steppenwolf but is right for this film.

Now either Roger is a porn addict who is hoping to star in her next film (privately), or Sasha ACTUALLY did a good job. Hell, this flick might be worth checking out!
