Jay Leno officially airing in Boston

After learning that Jay Leno would be making the move to prime time after Conan O'Brien takes over for him with The Tonight Show, Boston's NBC affiliate WHDH decided that it wouldn't run Jay's new show, but instead would run local news. Well, they happen to be changing their tune now, saying that Jay's show will DEFINITELY be airing in Boston at 10pm. WHDH owner Ed Ansin said it's because Jay's a local guy (from Andover, Mass) and that he finds his stuff funny -- but we know better. NBC threatened to cut off all affiliation ties with WHDH if they didn't air Jay's new show.

I would've been uber pissed if they didn't air Jay's show, as would have a ton other Bostonians. Way to NOT support a hometown product, you douchebag.
