Tons of controversy is surrounding Danny Gokey right now, all because of a pair of eyeglasses and a hand gesture. For the last 2 weeks, Danny has ended his Idol performances by forming his hands into a heart shape on his chest. Not a big deal, right? Well, couple it with the fact that he has a brand new pair of designer glasses every week, and that's where the rumors start. Some Idol hate sites, namely VoteForTheWorst.com and TheIdolizer are saying he's actually promoting LensCrafters by wearing the new pair of shades and doing the hand gesture, because the same gesture is used in a new LensCrafters commercial (which you can check out below.) But others say he's simply doing the hand gesture as a special little shoutout to his wife Sophie, who died less than a year ago due to heart problems.
Seriously, the fact that his is even an issue is ridiculous. Danny is NOT promoting LensCrafters and could probably give a sh*t less about them. Can't a guy pay tribute to his wife without being accused of getting money on the side? Some people are ridiculously vicious, and to those people, I hope a Mexican pig bites off your balls.
