PETA honors Miley Cyrus

I'll give Miley Cyrus credit -- she may not make the best decisions in the public eye (all the provocative pics and the Asian eye slant pic with her friends, come to mind), but she seems like she has a heart of gold. peta2, which is the youth division of PETA (which makes me vomit that there's actually a youth division), is honoring Miley Cyrus with a Compassionate Citizen Award. After the filming of Hannah Montana: The Movie, Miley felt so attached to one of the chickens that worked on set that she took it home and sent the rest home with her mother because "they were sad to be working."

Makes you wonder what she did with the chickens though -- kept them as pets? Think about that the next time you eat chicken salad in the Cyrus house.
