Anaheim Angels pitcher killed in hit and run

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim pitcher Nick Adenhart was killed last night just HOURS after pitching in a game against the Oakland A's. Some douchebag in a minivan blew through a red light, causing Nick to swerve and slam his Mitsubishi into a light pole. Two other people aside from Nick were killed in the crash, one of which is also affiliated with the Angels organization, but we don't know who yet. The driver of the minivan fled the scene, but was caught by police and charged with a hit-and-run. The suspect hasn't been identified but is in the hospital getting treated for injuries.

For the record, Nick was only 22 and pitched a hell of a game last night, tossing 6 shutout innings and notching 5 strikeouts. R.I.P. Nick, you were a hell of a gamer and got taken much too soon.

UPDATE: The minivan was driven by 22-year-old Andrew Thomas Gallo. He actually hit 2 vehicles after blowing through the red light, one of which was Nick's. There were actually 3 passengers with Nick, one of which died with Nick at the scene, and one died at the hospital later on. The one remaining passenger is in critical condition.
