About 50 years ago, a dude named Les Paul got bored one day and started tying some strings together on a board. He electrified it. Long story short, the dude invented the electric guitar and pretty much made rock 'n roll possible. Yesterday, Les died at White Plains Hospital in New York due to complications from pneumonia. He was 94.
I'm not gonna go searching around for them, but to tell you just how much Les was appreciated by musicians for his contribution to music, I saw a RIDICULOUS amount of "RIP Les Paul" messages posted on Twitter by people like Travis Barker, John Mayer, and a ton more. Thanks for making rock possible, Les. You're the shizz.
