Former boxing champ Arturo Gatti was found dead by his wife early on Saturday at the vacation home they were renting at the Porto de Galinhas resort in Brazil. It looks like he was strangled with the strap of a purse after one was found at the crime scene covered with blood stains. Since finding his body, police arrested his 23-year-old wife, Amanda Rodrigues, after they found some holes in her story. Not to mention spending 10 hours inside the house without knowing her husband was dead seems a little bit suspicious. Other people at the resort saw Arturo and Amanda fighting Friday night during dinner, and Amanda said that after the dinner table argument (where she said Arturo got drunk), he pushed her down to the ground. She said "a third party" was probably responsible for killing her husband.
As messed up as this is gonna sound -- I actually believe her. But lemme explain...the broad TOTALLY knows what really happened, but there's no way that she strangled her husband...no possible way. She's small, he's big, and he's a boxer. Drunk or not, there's no way she strangled him. Guarantee she either hooked up with someone at the resort and told him what happened, or she hired someone real quick. Either way, there's no way she's innocent.
