Typo costs contestant a prize on Regis and Kelly

You can bet someone is getting fired over at Live with Regis and Kelly after the debacle on Monday's show. On Monday, Natalia Gardner from Provo, Utah had the chance to win a 7 night trip to St. Kitts Marriott Resort & Royal Beach Casino if she nailed the trivia question. The question was: "What 1996 film did we say featured a Chicago house that is currently up for sale?" The answer was Ferris Bueller's Day Off (the house with the glass garage that Cameron makes his father's sports car crash through and into a ravine is up for sale). Natalia wanted to say the right answer, but one thing didn't make sense to her -- 1996. The movie actually came out in 1986, but since the wrong year was given, she obviously couldn't give the right answer.

After Natalia got it wrong, Kelly Ripa actually turned off-camera and told the show's producers that 1996 couldn't be the right year. Pat Sajak, who was sitting in for Regis Philbin, tried to lighten the mood and asked Natalia if she had a good lawyer. They didn't give the prize to Natalia, though, but instead gave her another shot yesterday morning, but she lost that time, too. Regis must be pissed.
