Next month, Real Housewives of Atlanta is returning for its second season on Bravo, but there's a little switch in the cast. R&B star (she was in the group Xscape back in the 90's) Kandi Burruss is joining on as the 5th housewife, after last year's cast member Deshawn Snow is out of the mix. No reason was given why Deshawn is out, but look for Kandi to start planning her dream wedding to her live-in fiance A.J., working on a brand new album, and continuing to raise her 6-year-old daughter Riley.
Kandi was brought on the cast through real-life friend (and fellow cast member) Lisa Wu Hartwell. Real Housewives of Atlanta premieres on July 30.
