Elisabeth Hasselbeck responds to lawsuit

I threw up a post on Tuesday about Elisabeth Hasselbeck being sued for copyright infringement for the book she put out a couple of months ago called The G-Free Diet: A Gluten-Free Survival Guide by Massachusetts woman Susan Hasset, who says Elisabeth ripped off the self-written book, homemade cooking video, and newspaper articles that she sent to The View co-host months ago. Yesterday while kicking off the show, Elisabeth addressed the lawsuit very briefly.

I just want to assure you the allegations are without merit and are being handled appropriately.

Elisabeth found out she suffered from celiac disease after her stint on Survivor (her last name was Filarski back then), and came public with the disease recently before putting out the book. And as bitchy as I think she can be, I'm actually on her side on this one, and I'm thinking this chick from Mass just wants to make a quick buck. Someone should tell that broad there can be more than one book on the same topic.
