Scream 4 in the works

The wheels are in motion for a Scream 4 movie, which is supposed to be a reboot to the entire series but kinda won't be (I'll get to that in a second.) The idea for a Scream 4 was thrown around in January, but has really picked up some steam lately and there are already offers going out to actors to star in the flick. And here's where it goes from a reboot to kinda not. Three peeps from the original trilogy have been asked to reprise their roles in the new installment -- Jamie Kennedy (Randy), David Arquette (Dewey), and Courteney Cox-Arquette (Gayle), and the original writer (Kevin Williamson) from Scream 1 and 2 is back on board for 4 (which is a good thing since Scream 3 reeked of sucktitude.)

I think this is quite possibly the worst f*cking idea ever. Scream 3 came out 9 years ago, so it's not even really relevant anymore. They completed the storyline for the trilogy, there's no need for a new one. Not to mention the character of Randy DIED IN THE 2ND F*CKING MOVIE! Look at SAW 5 -- it sucked. They should've stopped after the 4th movie since Jigsaw died in the 3rd (and that's saying a lot since I'm obsessed with SAW.) The Halloween sequels and reboots that have come out within the last 10 years have all been awful. Scream 4 is going to blow. Hard. And not in a pleasurable way.
