It's Official...

IDOL has completely taken over the country world....

We all know how Carrie Underwood has owned the country music industry since her graduation from the IDOL stage. But if you take a closer look, there are other IDOL peers making their presence known in the world of country music.

Last night at the CMT awards, Carrie was joined by Bucky Covington and Kellie Pickler (Pickler via satellite). Bucky was up for Breakthrough Video of the Year but lost to fellow Season 5 friend, Kellie! Kellie finished 6th place that season on Idol but has done quite well for herself since then. Her debut album has been certified gold, selling over 750,000 copies. She was also nominated for New Female Artist of the Year in 2007 at the CMAs.

Also last week, Josh Gracin, from season two, just released his second CD on April 1st. He’s one of only two new country artists in recent times to release a debut album with three Top 5 country hits. He’s also one of only two new male country singers to be introduced in the last two years to earn a gold album, and Gracin’s self-titled debut is quickly edging in on platinum status.

Paula put it best last night at the CMTs, "There are so many 'American Idol' alum here that I feel this is a reunion and I'm a proud mom."

IDOL WILL DOMINATE THE WORLD ;)
