So yesterday was a craaaaazy tiring, yet pretty sweet day. The reason I was unable to do any posting was that I was at Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort shooting 4 episodes of season 2 of "Community Auditions."
What is "Community Auditions?"
It's a classic New England amateur hour type show. Basically "American Idol" minus the multi-billion dollar budget -- and local to New England. The show ran for a wicked long time between the 50's and the 80's (hosted by Dave Maynard - pictured below), then disappeared.
They relaunched the show last year with Lori Grande (from WKLB/Boston) and myself as the hosts. You might not have even known it was on TV because we ran on My Network TV - Channel 18 in Boston. Outside of Boston, we were on NECN.
This year though - we're making a BIG jump to TV 38 and WBZ (Channel 4). The first episode of this season airs April 11th. The shows will air Friday nights at 9:30p on TV38, Saturday nights at midnight on WBZ, then at 12:30p on Sunday afternoons on TV38. We should definitely get a LOT more exposure this season, which is really exciting!
We were definitely a little rusty for the first couple episodes so please keep that in mind if you watch. But all in all I hope the shows came out decent. I guess we'll find out in a couple weeks! :)
But anyway --- I'm back!!!
