I can't even believe this is still an issue, but there were 8 arrests made based off of that one picture of Michael Phelps taking a hit out of a bong. Sheriff Leon Lott is determined to bring the Olympic Champion down for being pictured taking a hit out of a bong. Of the 8 kids that were arrested, 7 were charged with drug possession and 1 was charged with distribution. Honestly, enough of this stupid case. This Sheriff obviously just wants his 15 minutes of fame. Ever seen the show Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew? They have VIDEO BROADCASTED ON VH1 of the celebrities on the show doing drugs -- I don't see them getting arrested for it. This is all over a stupid picture that doesn't even PROVE he was smoking up -- for all you know, he could've just taken a pic of him holding the bong to be funny. You can't see any smoke or any weed in the pic, can you? Didn't think so.
On a more light-hearted note, the bong that Michael took the hit from is being sold on eBay, and is up to $100,000 right now!! And on top of that, a cigar company approached Michael and want him to be their "smokesman." No word if Michael has responded yet or not.
