David Archuleta may have gotten boosted into the limelight because of American Idol, but he's not exactly going the same route as some Idols before him. Clay Aiken and Fantasia Barrino decided to use the show as a launching pad for Broadway, but Archie is good with just playing it cool and singing.
I never really thought about [performing on Broadway.] I am more about performing and doing music. Maybe my tastes will change but not right now.
He also said he's more excited to play smaller venues right now, like the show he played on Monday at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square. He said he's in the process of setting up his own tour, too. Sounds like big things a-comin from Lil' Davey.
