American Idol apologizes to Louisville

There was a HUGE misunderstanding the other night on American Idol that actually caused Paula Abdul to minorly flip on contestant Mark Mudd. At the end of his horrible performance, Mark was leaving the room and told the judges to "be careful." Paula immediately reacted asking if that was a threat, and poor Mark was doing the best he could to explain that he wasn't threatening them, but he more or less meant "take care." You can check out the clip below, but I'm actually going to shock the world and say I can't blame Paula. After having someone kill herself right outside of her home, I'd be a little on edge if someone told me to be careful too, especially if he looked kinda like a creep. Either way, Idol released an official apology for the misunderstanding in regional terminology.

Paula Abdul and the rest of the judges on American Idol need to get a life. I am from Louisville and have lived here all my life. We (in Kentucky) say 'take care' in the same way most people use 'c-ya later' or other such quotes. The fact that Mr. Mudd had no talent is beside the point. The fact is he tried to accept the judges decision by being 'friendly'. The whole thing about American Idol coming here to Louisville was highly promoted but turned out to be a big disappointment to the home town crowd. They made Kentuckians out to be some hillbilly, redneck idiots who have no talent. I can tell you from personal experience that while we have a lot of people in our state that applies to, we also have some very talented people from our beautiful state that did not get through to the next round. The judges have their noses to far up in the air to see that or to see that Mr. Mudd was just a 'good ol' boy' trying to 'look out' for his fellow man.
