Colin Farrell says he was dying

Colin Farrell recently sat down with the Huffington Post to open up about his past, and he was pretty candid, starting off by saying that he pretty much lived 16 years of his life drunk and high.

That changed in December of 2005, when he finished filming Miami Vice and decided he needed to get his act together. He checked into rehab for 5 weeks and hasn't looked back since. He said that he didn't think he was chemically imbalanced and depressed, but he just went through a rough patch and decided to "indulge it."

Believe it or not, I think it's cool when celebrities come out about their problems like this. It just shows that they're human and just like us, and if they can overcome their issues, why can't we?
