It might've taken him 39 years to realize this, but Christian Slater told Parade that his bad boys days are officially behind him. He admits that he was very cocky, self-absored, and suffered from an out-of-control ego back in the day, but he's realized that the world doesn't revolve around him.
Only 39 years for a Hollywood celebrity to realize they aren't God? That's gotta be some kind of record.

I was in LA, traveling from CT in about '92. I met you, Christian, at a Hollywood health club. I introduced myself and said I would never impose on your personal space unless it was for an important reason. My 17 year old daughter had recently been diagnosed with a life threatening illness. The next day she was undergoing neurosurgery that would leave her deaf and potentially with a paralyzed face. I asked you to give her an autograph. You refused.
The press is now trying to paint you as a saint. In my mind, you are definitely not that. Far from it. You were an arrogant, conceited, thoughtless human being. It is really unfortunate that people like you do, in some measure, succeed in something. You do not deserve it.
