Ricky Gervais possibly bringing back his old show

British funnyman Ricky Gervais is thinking about resurrecting his Emmy-winning show Extras, which is about a couple of struggling actors. The show lasted 2 seasons and ended in late 2007. While the original version took place across the pond, Ricky wants the new version to take place in Hollywood and is hoping to get a lot of celebrity guest cameos.

I've got my sights set on a few people. Al Pacino, I've got a good idea for. We thought it would be good for Andy (his character on the show) to try to make it in Hollywood, because then he's starting again -- and if you think entertainment's cruel [in Britain], it's just a completely different kettle of fish there.

Well, at least the Brits will get a good show. Although I have to say, American TV has really kicked it up a notch lately.
