It saddens me to bring up again, but after being the star of CSI since the very first episode, William Petersen is leaving the show. With Gil Grissom gone (don't worry, he'll be making guest appearances), the production team has been searching for a new star.
Sounds like they may have found their new star. Laurence Fishburne is rumored to take over the star roll and play the newest CSI member, a character who is portrayed as "a doctor/scientist outsider to the CSI unit who has the same genetic profile as a serial killer but hasn't previously acted on any homicidal impulses."
There's also been talk about John Malkovich and Kurt Russell being the new star of the show. We'll throw it to my homeboy, Santino Marella, for his opinion.
