Mankind will live on forever, and we can all thank The Colbert Report's Stephen Colbert for it.
His DNA will be digitized and shipped to the International Space Station, where video game designer Richard Garriott will pick it up and add it to a time capsule he's putting together to launch into space. It's going to have a bunch of human DNA, a list of humanity's greatest achievements, and personal messages.
Know what I just realized would be awesome? If someone got knocked up in space.
