Yet another reason we are better than TMZ

So in case you've been living in a cave, that's American gymnast Shawn Johnson, who has totally kicked ass in Beijing this year at the Olympics. She helped the women's team earn a silver medal, landed a silver of her own in the all-around, and got herself some gold on the balance beam. Pretty big accomplishments for a 16-year-old girl, right? Most Americans have praised the hell out of her, and rightfully so.

Earlier this week, TMZ posted this picture comparison of Shawn to a rat used on the Ed Sullivan Show years ago. That rubbed A LOT of people the wrong way, and they responded with these hateful e-mails demanding they take it down.

We may talk smack about celebrities (okay, mostly just me), but we also congratulate people on their accomplishments, especially when it involves the USA. So TMZ, you bunch of trashbag bad Americans, we only got 2 words for ya...
