CSI fans: Say goodbye to Gil Grissom

As much as it pains me to say it, there's really no way around it. CSI is screwed and will probably start sucking.

In last season's finale of CSI, Warrick Brown (played by Gary Dourdan) was shot and killed, obviously meaning he won't be on the show anymore. At the end of this season, prepare to say goodbye to Gil Grissom. William (Billy) Petersen, the actor who plays Grissom, said that next season will be his final full-time season, but he'll stay on as an executive producer for the show and make occasional appearances.

He didn't opt out of his contract or get busted for crack like Gary, but Billy P just decided it was time to leave and declined further comment. To set it all up, a bunch of characters will return, including his on-again/off-again girlfriend Sara Sidle (played by Jorja Fox), the Miniature Killer, and Lady Heather. A new male cast member is going to be brought on.

I don't know, kids. CSI is easily my favorite show (next to the Girls Gone Wild promos on Spike TV), but I think this is going to spell the end of the show. You're talking about losing half of the cast in a year's time. On the show, Sara moved away, Warrick's dead, and now Grissom is leaving? New cast member or not, me thinks it's the beginning of the end for CSI. I'm so pissed I might go all Amy Winehouse and headbutt some biznatches.
